Video Content Marketing for Edutige - Teaching Customers About Potential Problems

In this week’s video for Edutige microphones, I want customers to know that even though the iPhone’s built in microphone is much improved, there are still situations that call for an external microphone. The motivation for this video came from a customer who returned his microphone and various other people online who claimed not to need an external microphone for their new iPhone 6, 6s or 7. Video content marketing is all about education and in this case, it’s teaching people about potential problems or issues and what they can do to avoid those problems or issues. https://youtu.be/Qz4MyomkFbI

Here is the original post for Edutige, which can be found here: http://www.edutige.net/best-external-microphone-iphone-reduce-background-noise/

If you use your iPhone for vlogging and find that the built in microphone doesn't do a very good job of recording your voice when there is a lot of background noise, this video is for you. In this video, you will hear the difference between the iPhone's built-in microphone and the Edutige EIM-008 unidirectional external microphone in a vlogging type of situation where there is a lot of background noise. In this case the background noise comes courtesy of a leaf blower that is about 50 feet away.

You will also be interested in this video if you have an iPhone 6 or newer and you have seen videos online, or perhaps even experienced how well the built in microphone works when the sound source is relatively close to the phone. You will see from the video that when there is background noise, the iPhone's built-in microphone falls far short compared to an external lavalier microphone.

What do you think? Is the iPhone's built-in microphone good enough on its own?
